We’ve regrettably (and hopefully temporarily) had to stop making the Video Roundups a daily feature due to workload, but we’ve not had one in ages so I felt duty bound to string together a couple of the more recent submissions. Enjoy!
PVRIS – “What’s Wrong”
PVRIS have released “What’s Wrong”, the newest track and video off their highly anticipated album, All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell – out on August 4th. Catch them on the road across the UK in late November.
Godhead Machinery – “Praise The Flesh”
Swedish unorthodox extreme metal Godhead Machinery released a first single “Praise The Flesh” from their upcoming album Ouroboros due out September 29th 2017 via Inverse Records.
Eat The Evidence – “Fruit Of The Loot”
A satirical account of the artistic trappings of the British Empire set to supercharged-ska, “Fruit Of The Loot” is a tongue-in-cheek yet brutally honest address to all those nations, from Greece to Chile and beyond, whose prized cultural artefacts have been pilfered for exhibits in UK museums and galleries. It’s all set to an astonishingly agile brew of agit-ska – all dubby bass, fiesta beats and, yes, that is a slide-whistle solo. The video captures the band dressed as colonialists, visiting the stolen artefacts at the British Museum.
This song is about how other countries can’t be trusted at looking after their own belongings. What better way to express this than using a slide whistle and swear words.
Defy The Tide – “Traced In Flames”
Female-fronted melodic metal band, Defy The Tide has dropped a new music video for their current single “Traced In Flames” off their recently released EP, Soteria. The single shows off the band’s powerful melodic riffs similar to Killswitch Engage and clean in your face vocals from Carly Rose, reminiscent of an early Evanescence.
Fall of Man – “Lullaby”
LA based melodic metal band Fall Of Man has released the official music video for “Lullaby.” Filmed and directed by Evan Cantrell and Greg McKarus at New Kingdom Productions, “Lullaby” is off of their 2016 EP Hallways and Doors.
Malum Sky – “Eye Above”
Tipping their hats to everyone from Monuments, Karnivool, TesseracT, Tool, Periphery, and Alice In Chains, Malum Sky unleash a hefty sound that has been widely acclaimed for its formidable musicianship and alluring craftsmanship. The band have just revealed their explosive new video single, “Eye Above”.
The track is a hammerjack of a cut and ideally showcases the band’s increased diversity and imposing prowess. The progressive metal crew are also primed to hit the UK with an onslaught of shows, as well as a new EP out later in the year.
