Friday Video Roundup: Spoon, Chris Shiflett, Mirrors, Rich Robin, Gojira, Seether

Spoon – “Can I Sit Next To You”

Ahead of their UK tour in June, Spoon have unveiled the video for their new single “Can I Sit Next To You”. With a slick, steady-paced groove and an eerie synth filled chorus the track is the second to be taken from the band’s career defining album Hot Thoughts’(out March 17th on Matador Records).

Chris Shiflett – “West Coast Town”

“West Coast Town” is the title track and first single off Chris Shiflett’s (Foo Fighters) forthcoming country album to be released 14th April on SideOneDummy Records.

The album is a product of a creative partnership working with Grammy Award-winning Dave Cobb and Grammy Award-winning engineer/mixer Matt Ross-Spang, Chris recorded his latest album at RCA Studio A over a three-week period, during the Summer of 2016. Every song was captured in just two or three takes.

Mirrors – “Tie The Lace”

Mirrors show us the truth – a true image of what is right in front of us. Melbourne’s Mirrors – the band – are busy forging their own true sound and holding it up to the world for all to see and hear. They’ve just dropped the filmclip for their single “Tie The Lace” ahead of their EP Fools Paradise release and their newly announced tour dates in March and April in Australia alongside Sydney’s Trojans and Brisbane’s As Paradise Falls.

Rich Robin – “Under Water”

Rich Robin, the alternative rock combo, has just released their first album Trigger, following on from their first EP called Never Look Back. This is a mix of powerful rock and modern hard rock, combined with an husky and melodic voice, with some catchy crunchy guitar riffs.

Trigger is available in a digital form now and will be released in physical form on the 16th of March 2017.

Gojira – “The Cell”

Grammy nominees Gojira have debuted the official music video for “The Cell”, which is featured on their critically adored new LP, Magma. The video, directed by Drew Cox, sees Gojira delivering a pummeling performance captured by a thermal-imaging camera. The band are touring the UK next month, but you already have your tickets, don’t you?

Seether – “Let You Down”

South African grunge-inspired trio Seether returns on May 12, 2017 with their seventh full-length studio album, titled Poison The Parish. The band’s first new music in three years is also the first release via front man Shaun Morgan’s new label imprint, Canine Riot Records. The album is one of the heaviest and emotionally pure efforts of Seether’s extensive and illustrious career.
