Friday Video Roundup: Ryan Hamilton & The Traitors, Battle Beast, Slaves, ashestoashes

We’re running out of weekends before the silly season really kicks in, but I can’t see us running out of videos to cram in each day as we get closer. I’m really pleased to be kicking off today’s article with a real gent and a cracking video that was just released this morning.

Ryan Hamilton & The Traitors – “We Never Should Have Moved to L.A.”

Ryan formalised the group he’s been playing with for a while recently and they became “…& The Traitors”. Their debut album The Devil’s In The Detail was released recently and it’s a Pledge-funded corker (review here), though those who didn’t join in the campaign can pick it up from February when Ryan’s on a solo acoustic tour.

Ryan and Ginger Wildheart also released a single a few days ago which is raising money for The Samaritans.

Battle Beast – “King For A Day”

Finnish heavy metallers Battle Beast announced the release of their fourth studio album, Bringer Of Pain, a few weeks ago – it’s out on February 17th. The band now release their first track from the forthcoming album! Enjoy the music video for “King For A Day”. Vocalist Noora Louhimo commented on the song:

I think “King For A Day” represents the new Battle Beast in the best way – more dramatic orchestration, catchy melodies and riffs, more party metal and, most of all, entertaining. You can check it out for yourself on the Bringer Of Pain tour. Welcome to the biggest metal party of Battle Beast!

Slaves – “Hypnotised”

Following the release of their acclaimed top ten album, Take Control, Kentish punk band Slaves have released another single “Hypnotised”, available now. Propelled by a snaking bassline and the bands trademark hyper fast drums, “Hypnotised” is a brilliant chunk of 21st century rage, rallying against the stultifying effects of reality TV, social media and apathy.

ashestoashes – “Once Upone a Time”

ashestoashes’ official video for the song “Once Upone a Time”, taken from Urania (2016, Epictronic), is out now. The song has been re-recorded with the new singer Giulia Sarpero.
