Wednesday Video Roundup: Death Valley High, Nycosia, Olde Souls, The Creptter Children

Woohoo! It’s almost Christmas! OK, OK, stop chucking bricks at me, I’m kidding. This is a rock and metal website, not a supermarket…

Death Valley High – “Ick Switch”

NorCal industrial noiseniks, Death Valley High are readying new album, CVLT [AS FVK] for release this Friday 4th November via minusHEAD Records. We’ve just had a new video for “Ick Switch” premiere.

Directed by Brian Cox of Flarelight Films, the video for “Ick Switch” is a ‘prequel’ of sorts to their first single, “Warm Bodies”. That video is a NSFW romp that features a girl desperately fleeing zombies, while the clip for “Ick Switch” combines live-action footage of Death Valley High with grainy images of butchery and body parts.

Nycosia – “Astral Selection” (Ft. Tyler Shelton of Traitors)

Directed by Dark North Media, the video transports Nycosia to frontman Adam Barkley’s nightmare, as he discovers the eerie house that he grew up in, contains the demonic entity that has haunted Barkley since he was a child.

“Astral Selection” features guest vocals by Tyler Shelton of U.S deathcore band Traitors, and is the first release from Nycosia’s next EP Mindshift, expected to be released in April 2017.

Olde Souls – “Hope is where the Heart is”

Belgian sad punx Olde Souls will be joining Bearded Punk Records. The band will be releasing a 3 song debut EP early this December. The first single “Hope Is Where The Heart Is” is now avaiklable for your listening pleasure.

Olde Souls are four people that met by coincidence. A trusted old recipe with a fresh twist, brought about by the dynamic of a new friendship.

The Creptter Children – “Watching You”

It has been since 2010 since Australian gothic/industrial hard rockers The Creptter Children has released any music, but that all just changed as they have now released their music video for the new single entitled “Watching You.” Along with the music video, the band has announced their signing with Imminence Records and will see them releasing their label debut in 2017. The music video follows protagonist Iballa Chantelle on a stimulating fantasy adventure back to a time of ancient Egypt where gods, demons and sexual goddesses once ruled our world.

She has this to say about the song and video:

We’re so excited to bring to our Freaks some new music after such a long hiatus. “Watching You” shows our new found musical strengths and can’t wait to hit you live onstage with it. We had so much fun working on the song and doing the music video which will surely please the old fans and the new.
