Black Orchid Empire – “This City”
Black Orchid Empire have revealed an anime-style music video for “This City”, the third single to be taken from the band’s upcoming debut album, Archetype.
The video was produced by digital animation studio RamJam. Frontman Paul Visser explains:
We all absolutely love anime and the freedom of expression that the medium allows, and it’s been incredibly exciting to be able to explore that with this video, rounding out the stories we’ve told with our previous singles by showing this dystopian, sterile future. The guys at RamJam did an incredible job, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the results all the way through the process. We can’t wait for you guys to check out what we’ve created – plus seeing ourselves portrayed anime-style is just badass.
High Fighter – “Darkest Days”
The Hamburg based 5-piece sludge and stoner metal band has just returned from a quick tour with Elder in October, a busy festival summer with live appearances at such as Summer Breeze Festival, Desertfest Berlin, Up in Smoke and alongside many more shows and tours around Europe in 2016, with their first and critically acclaimed debut album Scars & Crosses, which came out this summer on Svart Records, High Fighter have just released a brand new video for the album track ‘Darkest Days’!
Cris Luna – “Heavy Metal Kid”
Luna’s song “Heavy Metal Kid” and the video directed by Yas Munasinghe and Morgan Huber were built around several striking anecdotes of his adolescence between 1983 and 1985. Great years in the history of metal!
Sonic Syndicate – “Confessions”
Sonic Syndicate are finally back after a period of silence. The successful band from Falkenberg, Sweden was unexpectedly dropped by the record label Nuclear Blast and was forced to reconsider their situation. The change forced the band to change its course significantly and they took the chance to record their most daring album yet. This time the members of the band took a deeper look into themselves which has led to some changes of the sound. On the new album Confessions Sonic Syndicate lets the listener take part of their vulnerability through total uncompromising honesty in their songwriting and sound.
