Monday Video Roundup: I, Apollo / Bloodshed Remains / Chariots of the Gods / A Foreign Affair

Welcome to the start of the working week. If it makes you feel any better then I’m also (finally) back at work… though the pupils don’t arrive until tomorrow!

I, Apollo – “Surface”

Shall we start off with something heavy? Yes, yes we shall. I, Apollo play post-hardcore, come from Ohio and have just released this track from their EP Stranded.

Bloodshed Remains – “Bright Lies”

Fast-paced and furious, “Bright Lies” comes from Bloodshed Remains second EP, Peace, that was released at the end of last week.

Chariots of the Gods – ”Ages Unsung”

After a small hiatus and line up change, Ottawa quintet Chariots of the Gods return in 2016 full force ready to follow up their 2013 debut album Tides of War. Creating a kickstarter / pre-order campaign, COTG surpassed their goal of $3,000 and recorded Ages Unsung at The Grid with legendary Montreal producer Chris Donaldson (Cryptopsy, The Agonist, Beyond Creation, Neuraxis). Check out the title track below. The album is due on September 16th.

A Foreign Affair – “Awake”

Sacramento post hardcore newcomers, A Foreign Affair has release their newest music video and single, “Awake” which comes from their forthcoming EP set to release later this year. The new track, as well as forthcoming EP was mastered by Kris Crummet (Rise, Epitaph, Fearless). Frontman Alex Strobaugh commented:

“Awake” is a song that encompasses the feeling of being haunted by someone’s memory. It’s about coming to terms with living without someone who has been lost.

You can purchase “Awake” on the band’s bandcamp and watch the new music video below.
