Thursday Video Roundup: A Thousand Horses, Summer Lake Heroes, Kamikaze Girls, Fraser Edwards

Four more new videos to brighten up that cloudy Thursday with. Or enjoy in the sunshine. I’m writing this on Tuesday so I’ve no idea what the weather’s like. Just run with it.

A Thousand Horses – “Southernality”

First up is a blast of country rock, and a bloody good blast it is, too. In the parlance of the gaming geek, “Southernality” has tons of replayability. It’s on the album of the same name which is out now. A Thousand Horses have been nominated for the Best New Act award from Classic Rock and going by this song, they deserve to be in with a shout. You can catch them on two dates in the UK later this year (tickets on sale tomorrow):

  • Wed 30th Nov – London, O2 Academy Islington
  • Thurs 1st Dec – Manchester, Academy 3

Summer Lake Heroes – “BFF (Beers & Fucked Up Friends)”

Maintaining today’s feelgood factor are French pop/punk newcomers Summer Lake Heroes. “BFF” is from their eponymous EP which you can listen to over on Bandcamp.

Kamikaze Girls – “Stitches”

More punk than pop/punk, Leeds/London duo Kamikaze Girls release their debut EP, Sad, on September 2nd. Check out a track from it in the video below and if you’re enraptured by what you hear, then pre-order it on their website.

Fraser Edwards – “Mentalist Brigade”

Ending on a fast note, we have new supergroup-in-the-making Fraser Edwards. Lead member Fraser is guitarist with Sharky Sharky and Ascension, with YouTube star Per Fredrik ”Pellek” Åsly taking on vocals. Their album I Am God is in the works.
