A new week is upon us and while many of you, I’m sure, are heading back to work I’m on holiday for the next eight weeks or so. There was no reason to tell you that other than because I’m mean. Cheer yourself up with some new tunes.

As Temples Collide – “Thin Ice”

Charleston, SC metalcore trio As Temples Collide has released a new music video for their single “Thin Ice”. The track will appear on the band’s upcoming EP Virtues and chugs along like a train full of sledgehammers. Guitarist Jairo Peralta says:

‘Thin Ice’ is more than just the first single off our debut EP, it is also an introduction to the new sound we’ve been working on shaping for so long and are beyond excited to show the world.

Urban Aliens – “Buried Under The Chalet”

Montreal, QC’s francophone porncore / desh metallers Urban Aliens have posted a new video for “Buried Under The Chalet”. It’s off their latest release, 2015’s 7 tounes d’ÉPais, the follow up to their 2011 LP TRUI3. Perfect if you like your metal just a little bit… mental.

Stand Alone – “Demons”

Not to be confused with Stand Alone from London who released their self-titled EP in January, this Stand Alone are a Yorkshire-based band due to release their new EP, Nothing is Forgotten, in August. “Demons” is the first track to offer you a taster of things to come.

Compelling, powerful and tightly presented, Yorkshire rockers Stand Alone merge driving heavy rock influences panning from Biffy Clyro to Alter Bridge with stellar musicianship, absorbing melodies and tightly woven harmonies.

Crunkasaurus Rex – “Umbrellas High”

Indianapolis’ progressive-easycore group Crunkasaurus Rex has released a new music video for their single “Umbrellas High.” The song comes from the band’s 2015 EP Sayonara and the video marks their return after a short hiatus earlier this year. Vocalist/guitarist Sean Potter says:

Umbrellas High is a song about getting through the tough times, enjoying the small things, and accepting yourself. We felt a song like this would be a perfect way to announce our comeback.
