Wednesday Video Roundup (The Ruts DC, Rival Karma, Deepshade, Plastique)

Halfway house in the week for you working types and time to hit the downhill Friday-bound slope with some musical encouragement…

The Ruts DC – “Psychic Attack”

The Ruts DC (formerly just The Ruts) formed in the 1970s and kicked off as a punk act. Adding more musical influences, but sadly losing two members who passed away in 1980 and 2007, the band are back with their first new material since 1980’s Animal Now. “Psychic Attack” is out on the 20th May and an album is to follow with a release party at Camden’s Underworld on September 16th.

Rival Karma – “Living Dreams”

At the other end of the “been around for a long time” scale in that they… erm… haven’t been are London’s Rival Karma. The band are preparing to drop their debut EP Dames on the 3rd of June, and they have treated us to a new video for track “Living Dreams”.

Deepshade – “Time”

Some SE to NW and Deepshade who have just released a new sampling of their raucous fusion of psyched up alternative/grunge rock. If you like this then keep your eyes open as the band promise more music and tour dates later in the year.

Plastique – “The Noise Inside Me”

Scarily-named electro-punks Plastique follow up “Quake” and “Lips” with this new slice of catchiness, their first release of 2016.
