So one good thing about that extended February is that we get to have an extra Monday! And what better way to celebrate than with a couple of new songs to chuck your way?
Cate Rox – “Flames”
If there’s something the world needs, it’s a new-generation Lita Ford or Doro Pesch. Could we have found it here with Cate Rox from Germany? Time to judge as she releases her new video, “Flames”. She’s booked on a few festivals over the summer so you might get the chance to see her live as well.
Hacktivist – “Taken”
“Taken” is the third single to be taken from Hacktivist’s highly-anticipated debut album Outside The Box, which is set for release worldwide on March 4th. It features Rou Reynolds of Enter Shikari assisting with the vocals in the chorus.
Of “Taken”, co-vocalist Ben Marvin says:
This is about losing someone close to you, so it was a very emotional time writing and recording the song because we’ve all lost friends and family over the last few years. It’s about remembering what’s important in life, being there for others in times of need and holding moments in your life close to your heart.
Lody Kong – “Chillin’ Killin’“
The “Young Cavalera” band have their debut album out on March 25th (or April 8th, depending on which press release you read…) through Mascot Records. Want to know if it’s going to be good and didn’t see the band on tour with Soulfly? Here’s a sample.
Bullet Height – “Bastion”
Berlin-based electronic-rock duo Bullet Height’s debut single ‘Bastion’ is released digitally as of today, and to celebrate they have launched a brand new lyric video for the track directed by Valquire Veljkovic. You can pick the track up through iTunes, Amazon or listen to it on Spotify.
Deathkings – “Sol Invictus”
Los Angeles based experimental/doom/rock group Deathkings have released a lyric video for “Sol Invictus”, the opening track from upcoming album All That Is Beautiful. The album’s out on March 18th and you can pre-order it on Bandcamp.
