Single Review: Sixx:A.M. – “Rise”

Sixx AM - RiseAfter Mötley Crüe’s recent farewell tour we can see Nikki Sixx has not slowed down with this call-to-arms track “Rise”. It seems to reflect Sixx’s philosophy of blatant defiance as we have come to expect from the staple figure of rock. Striking lyrics are found throughout the track, perhaps most notably “Rise up, it’s a dawn of a new day” which captures Sixx and Co’s whole vibe!

Sixx’s new crew (see what I did there!) deliver a gospel-choir-esque anthem laced with melodic influences and heavy hitting hooks. This is certainly a crowd pleaser that should be expected to be gracing shows (and ears!) around the world including their upcoming performance at the Download Festival at Donington… Roll on the Rock N Roll!

The album Prayers For The Damned is out on April 29th.
