After a superb quick-stop visit earlier this year in London and popping up on the main stage at Download this past weekend, Amon Amarth have announced a horn-ful of dates in November… and this time they’re bringing Testament with them! The Bay Area legends will have new album The Brotherhood of the Snake out later this year so there should be some new material to thrash along to.
Grand Magus will be opening each night, touring in support of their recent release Sword Songs.
Get set to hold your drinking horns aloft at the following shows:
Mon 31st Oct – MANCHESTER Academy
Tue 1st Nov – GLASGOW O2 ABC
Wed 2nd Nov – DUBLIN Vicar Street
Fri 4th Nov – LONDON Roundhouse
Sat 5th Nov – BIRMINGHAM O2 Academy
Live Nation’s pre-sale begins at 10am on Tuesday, but if you can’t pillage a ticket from that, tickets will go on general sale from 10am on Wednesday.
Amon Amarth exclaim:
UK, after three years away we are returning to your lands and are bringing with us our biggest headline show ever. Sharpen your weapons, fortify your embankments & hide your loved ones! We are bringing our berserker party to a town near you and we hope to see you there so you can “Raise Your Horns” together with us to glory!
Testament’s Eric Peterson follows up:
With a heart of steel and rippling distant thunder, we are honoured to board the AA Viking ship and get ready to feast and plunder with them across Europe! Thor’s hammering strikes shall lead the way! Skol!
JB from Grand Magus declares
Warriors of the north Atlantic! We are proud and excited to be part of this tour. Earth-shattering metal is coming your way. Amon Amarth, Testament, and Grand Magus on the same night! There will be headbanging, thrashing, and all around heaviness to fill all needs. Join us! Rejoice!
