Following on from last year’s storming day long two stage event, we are proud to announce Doom Over London 2016 – The Sixth Edition. Expanded to take in three stages across two days, with an exclusive single stage preshow on the first day.
Hosted in the North London enclave of Tufnell Park and taking over the Dome, Boston Music Room and Aces & Eights, Doom Over London 2016 will provide a stellar line up across the spectrum of underground doom, experimental gloom and occult infused metal. Taking place between the 25th and 27th March, expect to see some fantastic performances from acts that vary from the gurgling underbelly of the modern cult scene to those who helped laid the foundation of the metal underground as we know it.
We are very, very proud to announce our opening handful of bands, who are amongst 40 odd groups that will appear at next years event. Expect additional attractions, featured acts and details on featured food and drink to come.
Following a 14 year writing hiatus, we are happy to welcome for an exclusive show in the UK for many, many years this fantastic Norwegian talent. Dark, progressive and avantgarde metal at its finest, In The Woods tracked three ageless albums on top of their classic demo and rounded off with an album that reinterpreted and collected rare tracks before calling it a day in 2003. Fast forward to 2014 and the band re-incorporating with an invigorated line up of original members, which sees this fantastic artist working on a new album. Music in its purest form.
Ireland’s great death doom heroes Mourning Beloveth return to London for a long over due visit. With a new album on a new label on the imminent horizon, we look forward to a somber, heavy performance detailed in their new opus.
Very effectively described as a two man army playing downtuned heaviness, Sardonis will bring the instrumental hurt to proceedings. With a new album out now on Consouling Sounds, expect a tidal wave of dirge to overcome you.
Autumnal are one of the cornerstones of Iberian doom metal, having established way back in 1998. Their upcoming second album promises to bring their brand of doom to the fore with a debut UK appearance. Equal parts intensity, atmosphere and crushing heaviness, we expect nothing but a somewhat large demolition of the audience.
We have no idea what is in the water in this country but the moment we heard their debut EP, we knew they had to play this event. With a great single out on Svart Records and an album to follow in 2016, Bathsheba will pull you out from the depths of the charcoal mountains and into the oath of doom.
Very limited Super early bird weekend tickets are on sale now priced at £29.50 at THIS LOCATION.
There will be a further round of Early bird tickets to follow with our next announcement with details on weekend and day tickets to follow in future announcements.
