With gates opening on Friday 26th June, Wildfire (formerly Les-Fest) is in its fourth year. With a new venue, still within easy reach of Glasgow and Edinburgh, it’s Scotland’s only outdoor rock/metal festival and has received incredible reviews. Not just from fans, but from the bands as well!
Tickets have been on sale for a bit and there may be some on the day, but to avoid disappointment (and to help organiser Dave from having a heart attack about covering his costs) it’s highly recommended to get them beforehand. You can pick them up via the festival’s site or Tickets Scotland (fees apply). £15/£20 per day ticket or £60 for the whole weekend including camping is not a bad price and there are some great bands playing.
Oh, and under-14’s get in for free. I’ve spoken to a load of families who’ve taken their kids in previous years and they’ve been very complimentary of the child-friendliness of the whole event. We’re planning on taking ours this year (almost 3, 7 and 14).
So, who can you see? Well, for the full list you should check out the festival’s website but highlights include Lawnmower Deth, Coldspell, Ten, Re-animator, Diamond Head, Tygers of Pan Tang, Line of Fire, The Burning Crows, Benedictum, The Toi, Estrella, Anihilated, Kaine, Knock Out Kaine, I.C.O.N…. A lot of bands for your cash!
Hopefully we’ll see you there!
