Signing News: Kortofertos, In Motive, Misteyes, Neck of the Woods, Feral, Edenthorn

We’ve had a few items through about bands signing to various labels, so thought we’d pop them all together here for you…

Kortofertos

Ukrainian fantasy/symphonic metal band Kortofertos has inked a worldwide management deal with GlobMetal Promotions. Last year the band released their new album The Frozen Book. The album was recorded/mixed and mastered at “Sershen Music Studio” by Sergey Sershen.

Kortofertos was formed as one-man project in 2015 at Kyyiv, Ukraine by Alexander Shvets. His idea was to combine fantasy in three aspects: metal, story line and art. Up to now the band has released three albums and two singles.

In Motive

Los Angeles based label Sumerian Records is pleased to welcome In Motive. The band – made up of long-time Sumerian artists Lee McKinney (guitar / Born of Osiris), Nick Rossi (guitar), Conor White (drums), plus newcomer Devin Barrus (vocals) – crafts a sound that ebbs and flows between progressive metallic intricacy and alternative infectiousness.

Misteyes

The Italian metal band Misteyes have announced that they have joined the roster of the well-known Crown Metal Booking Agency. This have this to say:

“We are really happy to be part of this new great family! We hope that this partnership will bring new live shows for our band from the Autumn onwards!”

Neck of the Woods

Canadian bruisers Neck of the Woods will release debut album, The Passenger, on 15 September via Basick records as part of a new deal; a crushing blend of progressive, death-inspired, technical, and groove-laden metal through nine engaging tracks.

The band have also released new track “Bottom Feeder”. Delivered through an animated art video, they describe the premise of as, “Recognising recurring patterns in relationships that lead to imminent failure and learning to break free from these tropes.”

Feral

Swedish death metal force Feral have signed a multiple album and format deal with Indian label Transcending Obscurity Records. Their style of music is uncompromising and pure, and in their own way they take ahead the classic death metal sound, finding gnarlier and more twisted expression within the HM-2-driven sound. With four releases already under their belt since 2007, they’re gearing up to unleash their upcoming full length on the new label.

Edenthorn

Newcastle/Durham based, hard rock quartet, Edenthorn, have announced that they have signed a management deal with TMR Band Management and prepare a new album release for early 2018.

After a well-received debut album – The Maze – Edenthorn are ready to take it up a notch and show clear intent by signing with TMR BM.
