Album News (Thrash Special): Anthrax, Mutilator, Overkill, Satan Worship

Another random update featuring some news you really should be aware of. This list of most interest to those who like the really bang their heads…

Anthrax

February/March 2017 will see legendary New York thrashers Anthrax back on European soil for the band’s first full European headline tour in more than a decade. Dubbed the Among The Kings tour, dates will kick off on 9th February in Birmingham, UK and wrap on up in Paris, France on 16th March. On each of these dates to celebrate the 30th anniversary of its release, Anthrax will perform live, start-to-finish, their classic and Silver-certified 1987 album Among The Living alongside fan favourites from throughout the band’s rich 35-year career. Anthrax’s Among the Kings European dates are in support of the band’s critically-acclaimed album For All Kings (26 February 16 via Nuclear Blast). British metallers The Raven Age will support on all dates.

In support of this upcoming trek, Anthrax will release a limited tour edition of their latest studio album For All Kings on February 17th. As well as the regular album it will include “Vice Of the People” (previously only available in Japan) as well as a bonus disc of demo versions.

Mutilator

Greyhaze Records has reissued Immortal Force, the classic 1987 album from Brazilian death thrashers Mutilator. Originally released by Brazil’s Cogumelo Records, the album has been given the Greyhaze treatment with restored/remastered audio; faithful reproduction of the original LP jacket, featuring foil on the band’s logo and album title (as in the original); original insert; and a poster to boot! The album is available on CD, as well as on black and white vinyl LP formats. Also available from Greyhaze is the Test Pressing LP (10 units) and original mint copies of the 1987 Cogumelo pressing (15 units).

Overkill

Legendary New Jersey thrashers, Overkill are set to release eighteenth album, The Grinding Wheel on February 10th, 2017 via Nuclear Blast. Today, the band reveals their fourth trailer on YouTube in which Bobby talks about his relationship with music. Bobby comments:

I remember my mother’s voice musically and I think that was my introduction to melody, harmony, to music in general. She’s always been supportive of it and still sings to this day.

Satan Worship

Satan Worship is a thrash/black metal Satanic band and born in 2011 by Leatherface Perkele (Sodomizer) sick mind. In 2015 the demo Poison And Blood was released by Khutulu. Between 2014 and 2016 they recorded the stuff for I’m The Devil, eight tracks of pure Satanic Metal!

They will soon announce some shows and one tour to spread I’m The Devil like a plague across the world. Satan Worship now have a full new line up with Leatherface Perkele (vocals and bass), Max The Nekromancer (guitars) and Marc Reign (drums). They are working hard to record new material for the next album.

I’m The Devil is out on March 3rd through Iron Shield Records.
