Some more album news to help quell those Monday blues :)

Badmotorfinger - HeroesItalian heavy rockers Badmotorfinger will release their new EP, Heroes, on September 27th, 2016, via logic(il)logic Records. Comments guitarist Federico ‘HeavyRico’ Mengoli:

Heroes has been realized to sanction the incoming of Sange as BMF singer in 2015. The relationship between me and Sange has always been about friendship and artistic collaboration as well continued in the years even when we were involved in different musical situations. Now, with both of us as a part of Badmotorfinger, this synergy can be totally perceived. But now it’s time to talk about the product of our own sweat. In this CD you’ll find three brand new songs and three tracks taken from our first album It’s Not The End, carefully reworked, re-recorded and rearranged.”

The Sword

The Sword - Low CountryFollowing 9 months of touring in support of the critically acclaimed album, High Country, The Sword returned to the studio to experiment with a stripped down acoustic presentation of the High Country songs. The result, produced by bassist Bryan Richie and mixed by J. Robbins, is Low Country which will see a worldwide release on September 23rd.  The album features cover art by Richey Beckett. High Country debuted at #14 upon release in August 2015. To support Low Country the band will be heading out as direct support for the Opeth tour September 29th to October 26th.  Bracketing the Opeth tour will be 10 headline shows. The first leg, September 23-28 will feature Ruby the Hatchet as support.  The second leg, October 28th through November 1st will feature C Average as support.

Veilburner - The Obscene RiteHighly praised and positively critically reviewed black metal/death metal duo Veilburner have built quite a name and reputation for themselves in a very short amount of time. Since their inception in 2014, the Pennsylvania based band has released an album a year, starting with 2014’s The Three Lightbearers. An album which received rave reviews and mentions from sites such as MetalSucks, Invisible Oranges, NoCleansinging, StereoKiller, and many more. Last year they dropped an equally well received follow up called Noumenon. Upon releasing Noumenon, Veilburner set a plan in motion to have a third album out this year that would complete the conceptual trilogy of themes and ideas which began on The Three Lightbearers. Right on schedule, the band recently completed work on their third full-length, The Obscene Rite, and have set a release date of Friday, September 30th for its official release.
