Prog metal outfit Third Ion, featuring former members of The Devin Townsend Band and Into Eternity, have launched a Crowdfunding Campaign in support of upcoming Glasstone Records album Biolith. Visit Indiegogo to offer your support.
Third Ion described the campaign details as follows:
We are nearing completion of our new album Biolith, and we couldn’t be more excited to get it into people’s hands! While we fully embrace the changing face of the music industry, we strive to put physical copies in the hands of the die hard music fans, and bring the visual themes to life (as with 13/8Bit, the album artwork is being done by the unreal talent of Harley at Necrographix). Your support will help us release this album properly, with the artwork and the worldwide promotion that it deserves!
In total, we are looking for $2750 CDN to do this RIGHT. This covers the costs of CD replication, artwork and promotional marketing campaigns (as well as the Indiegogo fees).
To get us there, we have a TON of great perks ready for you, including 4 different T-Shirt designs, the Biolith album itself, artwork, posters, stickers, a pizza party, lessons and more! IF we don’t make it to the top goal, we will use what we can to cover our artist and publicist, and put our efforts into a digital-only album release – so even if we only raise half – we still can get a lot done! That being said, our original Kickstarter campaign, when we were barely even a band, raised over $2000 – so we KNOW we can do this with the amazing support base we have.
Third Ion recently announced that the band’s new vocalist is none other than Dave Padden (ex-Annihilator) and are currently recording the follow-up to 2015 Glasstone Records debut album 13/8bit. Sophomore effort Biolith will also be released on Glasstone. An audio clip of the band recording with Dave Padden can be heard below.
