Last Friday Children Of Bodom’s guitar superstar Alexi ‘Wildchild’ Laiho played an incredibly special show. He went on stage with an army of 100 guitar heroes and presented a song he had written especially for the event. These guitarists were joined by Alexi’s band mates Jaska Raatikainen on drums and Janne Wirman on keyboards.
This once-in-a-lifetime event took place at Senate Square in Helsinki as part of the opening of the Helsinki Festival – with 8,000 people showing up specifically to see the show. Those who weren’t able to attend can watch a recording embedded below.
In support of their upcoming record I Worship Chaos (out on October 2nd via Nuclear Blast), Alexi and Janne will be available to answer questions in a live fan Q&A next Tuesday, August 25th at 16.00 GMT.
