Yorkshire rockers Of Allies are back with their second release, the barnstorming and chest-thumping Fragments EP, due for release May 11 2015.
Have a tease of the band’s new sounds below.
Following on from the band’s critically acclaimed debut EP, Tempers, Fragments is yet another step-up in the lightning career of this very promising band, who formed a little over two years ago.
In an electrifying 5-song collection, Of Allies prove the attention they deserve. A darker, faster, louder release than its predecessor, Fragments is a swaggering and anthemic record (wait for the riff within track two, “ONE19”, or the chorus of track four, “Tempers”) which goes far beyond its relatively brief running time. Although taking inspiration from both sides of the Atlantic, as much Deaf Havana as Deftones, Fragments has an undeniably British stamp, a thick, multi-layered sound that is fast becoming this band’s trademark.
Of Allies have already caught the eyes and ears of the British press, including Kerrang and Marshall Amps, as well as radio play on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 show and BBC Introducing. With a late Spring tour in the pipeline as well as new material being written, the sky’s the limit for Of Allies.
