[avatar user=”Mosh” size=”50″ align=”left” /]A chance to catch up with Frank before their opening set at the Volbeat gig in Glasgow last weekend. Although a recent (8-year!) addition to the band, he’s actually been there with them from the beginning featuring in the other band (Integrity) on one of their first split EPs.

We had a quick chat about living in Florida (the rest of the band are based further north), touring, the 20th anniversary London date on November 18th and how to win over an audience when you’re opening for an act who are in a very different genre to yourselves. Also, twenty years and six (seven including the covers album) down the line, how does a band who are at the forefront of their genre keep things fresh?

One thing that didn’t make the recording, but which I asked Frank afterwards – when can we expect a new album? The answer: next year.

I. Cannot. Wait.

Huge thanks to Frank for his time, Michelle at Cosa Nostra for squaring stuff and to Marcus the awesome tour manager for being able to magic me up a photo pass out of seemingly nowhere. Dude, you rock!
