This one’s a doozy. Toto’s “Africa” is a classic track that even Tragedy (the world’s geratest Bee Gees – and others’ – cover band) has honoured with a take. What even their version lacks, though, is a human-powered atmispheric introduction that would do the any foley artist proud.
The main song itself, is wonderful. However, what sets this apart is the amazingly realistic sound of tropical rainfall created by around 100 human beings. Whoever directed and choreographed this deserves a hearty handshake.
