This one popped up on a friend’s feed recently and purely for geographical reasons I had to feature them. Well, that and the song that they have on YouTube is pretty good.
Southeast Desert Metal live up to their name. They’re based in the Aboriginal community of Santa Teresa, in Eastern Arrernte country, central Australia. A five-piece who play mainstream metal/hard rock, their subject matter revolves around dreaming and Aboriginal culture.
Their debut album was released recently and can be found on iTunes or you can get a CD version via Black Wreath.
