Work Experience
Mar 2000 - Present Currently employed by Matrix Resource Management as a support engineer. The job involves installing, configuring and training on the company's own software package, as well as becoming familiar with many operating systems and hardware configurations.
Jan 1998 - Mar 2000 Sphinx CST Leeds. Originally hired as a Technical Account Manager, I held this post for a little over a year before moving on to become an Implementations Engineer then a Cisco consultant.
Aug 1998 - Aug 1999 As a second job, I worked at PC World in Leeds. Starting as a Sales Advisor, guiding customers on their choice of hardware and software, I moved on to become a Technician. This role involved diagnosing and repairing faults with PCs along with simpler tasks such as fitting upgrade components. Both pre- and post-sales support were part of the job, face-to-face and over the telephone.
Nov 1997 - Jan 1998 Worked in software support for EMIS Ltd. The job involved talking customers through hardware and software problems over the telephone, using a modem to dial into their sites and correcting problems myself.
July 1997 Designed and implemented a MS-Excel spreadsheet for Oils and Soaps Ltd., Bradford.
1996 - 1997 Co-stallholder at Northern Computer Marts on behalf of Cortek Information Systems of Stoke-on-Trent. Selling goods and offering technical advice to customers regarding their purchases. Some after-sales support was also involved.
Designed and implemented a MS-Access database for Oils and Soaps Ltd., Bradford as a summer job.
1995 - 1996 PC construction and maintenance for Baron Systems, Leeds. Built PCs from component parts and installed various applications and additional hardware components. While there, I continued to provide telephone support for staff at Firecheck Systems (below).
Data entry clerk for Firecheck Systems, Heckmondwike, WF16. Also taught staff how to use Windows applications, optimised PC systems, repaired a faulty computer, and was later contracted in to install a basic Win3.11 LAN.

Interests
Computers Using a PC at home, I have taught myself the basics of many applications ranging from office packages to animation and art programs, as well as learning how to upgrade any part of the machine. I have a firm grounding in the use of MS-DOS, Windows (3.x and 95/8), X-Windows and UNIX. Languages I am familiar with include Ada, C, BASIC and Z80 machine language. In my spare time, I maintain a popular page on the WWW, available at:
http://www.moshville.co.uk
Radio At university, I took an interest in radio broadcasting. For one year I was Senior Producer in charge of Features; a position which involved a lot of organisation and communication with promoters, record companies, etc. Later, I was placed in charge of maintaining and updating the computer systems we have. I also presented a show of my own, producing advertising for it in the form of posters, flyers and radio jingles, most of which were created using various PC packages.
Music Related in some way to my involvement in the radio station was my part in reinstating the university's RockSoc after its non-existence for a year or two. Officially, I am Treasurer but due to the co-operative nature of our exec, I also help with other parts of the organisation (advertising and organising events, co-ordinating with clubs and transport companies, editing the fanzine and so forth).

Skills
Familiar with the workings of the music and broadcast industries.
Practised use of mixing desk and other recording, broadcasting and editing equipment.
Full driver's licence.
St John's Ambulance Primary First Aid certificate.
Good typist (65+ wpm).
